Bishop Isaiah Wilson

Bishop Isaiah Wilson, from Detroit, Michigan, was the last Bishop consecrated under the leadership of Bishop James M. Grove. In 1923, Bishop Grove moved to California and left Bishop Wilson to succeed him as the Executive Officer in charge of the md-west Tabernacles. In a 1948 interview, Bishop Grove said, "[God] gave me fine men to stand by me and fight the battle for the Lord", specifically calling Bishop Wilson "one of the finest and truest men to walk the earth".

Bishop Isaiah Wilson presided at the Passover in 1946 held in Baltimore, Maryland. After the passing of Senior Bishop James M. Grove, Bishop Wilson became the leader in the mid-west in 1948. Bishop Wilson appointed Evangelist Francis W. Daniels to the office of Chief Evangelist of the National Pulpits in 1950.
