The Church of God and Saints of Christ also observes the biblical new year. Abib is the beginning of months according to Exodus 12:1-2; 13:4; 23:15; 34:18 ​

According to Deuteronomy 16:1, “Observe the month Abib… for in the month Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt.” Also see Exodus 13:4; 23:15; 34:18.

On the eve of the new ear, the Saints assemble themselves together in the tabernacle for service to offer up praises to God for all the blessings He has given us throughout the past year. During this service time is given to all the Saints who desire to give demotion (testimony) to do so. A new year sermon is given, in some tabernacles you may also see a choir march.
